Volunteer
There are needs at the main office welcoming and working with the clients that we help with emergency financial and homeless assistance. Volunteers are needed to return calls and assist people through the application process. Volunteers will engage with neighbors seeking assistance, assess their needs and eligibility, provide assistance from Jesus Cares McNairy and make appropriate referrals to community partners. There are also a variety of volunteer opportunities available at our on-site thrift stores in Adamsville and Selmer. Volunteers may help sort donations, create displays, straighten and stock shelves and racks. If you have a work or church group, then contact us to coordinate a group volunteering day at one of our thrift stores.
Interested in helping us in our mission? In addition to donating items to our thrift store, you can also donate your time. We are always welcoming volunteers! Whether you are retired or just looking to make use of God’s purpose for you, come join our family.
For those needing to fulfill community service hours for TN Promise recipients, Work Essentials, SNAP, or court-ordered community service hours you are welcome to complete these service hours with us.
